so it’s a new year. chinese new year that is. don’t know how many of you celebrate this occasion, but being in Hong Kong at the moment has brought about an awareness to the event greater than any other point in my life. It’s very strange how much one can resist the urges to celebrate special occasions like this because they feel so commercial in nature, but things about this occasion like what to eat, what to wear, when to sleep, setting off fireworks to ward off evil spirits, passing of red envellopes with money in it,lighting of incense, throwing lucky oranges in a tree, walking around a tree all the way around for good luck, etc etc that make it seem a more involved and participatory occassion that requires not so much gift giving to one person, but more about giving and sharing with lots of people. it’s kind of nice….

What have I learned?

To wish everyone good luck and properity for the year. so. here i am, on behalf of us at Bikurious Montreal, we wish you luck, prosperity, and good health in the new lunar year.

Gong Xi Fa Cai!! 恭喜發財! and happy year of the Tiger, so this means those of you born in 1902, 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, and 1998, this is your year. what does that mean? I’m not quite sure. Maybe you should customize your bike like this one below…
