been noticing that we’ve been posting a lack of riders that are women or otherwise identified folk.  It’s been really hard to find nicely shot videos of rad woman or otherwise identified folk riding their bikes. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE! Been finding more and more videos popping up here and there, some new pro fixed riders are coming out of London and the U.S who are now sponsored by the Charge bikes folk. Half of their sponsored riders are woman! Two of them being the top names for women and fixed riding today. Posy Dixon. pictured top, is also a pro boarder and Juliet Elliot, pictured underneath, is THE household name for woman and fixed riders. keep an eye out for them in some films at this years Bike Film Festival.

so. some more videos perhaps? first video is of three women down in Seattle.just riding, chatting, doing their thing. this video makes me want to ride and do some sweet skids like them. maybe i can write them a love letter and they can come up and run a trick workshop….

 next one is of a women only alleycat in London called “Faster Pussycat Kill Kill”. Not the best of shot, but even just the shot at the beginning showing how many people came out to ride, is thrilling enough. Wouldn’t mind seeing this type of video without the cliche Le Tigre background music. NOW, this is not to give say we’re not down with Le Tigre or Riot Grrl, just umm..maybe just a couple with something different?
